Christoph Bode is a senior researcher and lecturer at the Chair of Logistics Management. He obtained his Ph.D. from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, Germany and holds a master's degree in business engineering (Dipl.-Wi.-Ing.) from the University of Karlsruhe (TH), Germany and master's degrees in industrial engineering (ingénieur ENSGI) and management (master de recherche) from the Grenoble Institute of Technology (INPG), France. Through internships with consulting and industrial firms in Germany and France, he gained practical experience in various areas of industrial management, supply chain management, and logistics. In 2007, he spent several months as a visiting scholar at the Department of Management at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, USA.
His current research interests lie in the areas of supply chain and logistics management with a special focus on strategies, disruptions and risk management, innovation, complexity, and inter-firm relationships. His research has appeared or is forthcoming in such journals as Academy of Management Journal, Decision Sciences, European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of Business Logistics, International Journal of Production Economics, and Journal of Purchasing & Supply Management.
He serves on the editorial review boards of the Journal of Operations Management and the Journal of Supply Chain Management, as well as a frequent ad-hoc reviewer for other leading journals.
