Short Bio

Dr. Stephan Baur holds a degree in Engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) from Technische Universität München, Germany, which focused on aerospace and the aviation industry. His core areas of study were aircraft design, lightweight structures as well as flight physics and control. He was supported by a scholarship from Airbus as well as the VDI (Verein Deutscher Ingenieure).

During his studies he gained first scientific experience as a student research assistant at Technische Universität München and spent time at the University of Greenwich (London) and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Boston) where he wrote his diploma thesis. In the course of his studies he also obtained practical experience working for Airbus, EADS and a machine construction company in Latvia.
